Come Try Wrestling

Wrestling Nova Scotia is working to make wrestling more accessible, welcoming, and representative of the communities we serve.

Through our Provincial Community Access Model (PCAM), we are bringing Come Try Wrestling programs directly into African Nova Scotian communities in 2026 and 2027,  beginning with East Preston, North Preston, Cherrybrook, Lake Loon and Dartmouth, and then  Jordantown Acaciaville, Conway, Digby, Yarmouth and Greenville. These free, low-barrier opportunities give youth a chance to try wrestling in a familiar community setting, connect with coaches, build confidence, and discover pathways to continue participating in the sport.

Our goal is bigger than a single event. We want to reduce barriers to participation, build meaningful relationships with communities, and create a stronger sense of belonging for African Nova Scotian youth in wrestling.

We’re inviting local businesses and community partners to be part of this work! Businesses can support our PCAM initiatives through donations of swag, products, refreshments, or other  that help us create welcoming and memorable experiences for participating youth.

In recognition of your support, we can provide social media shout-outs through Wrestling Nova Scotia and recognition connected to our Come Try Wrestling events, highlighting the businesses that are investing in greater access to sport in our communities.

Help us bring wrestling into communities, remove barriers, and create opportunities for more youth to find their place in sport.
