Who We Are
Wrestling Nova Scotia (WNS) is the official provincial governing body for Olympic-style amateur wrestling across Nova Scotia.
We are committed to growing the sport by building a safe, inclusive, and empowering community for athletes, coaches, and officials of all ages and skill levels. From grassroots youth programs and community clubs to high-performance athletes competing nationally, WNS supports wrestlers at every stage of their athletic journey.
An affiliate of Wrestling Canada Lutte and Sport Nova Scotia, WNS is proudly supported through annual funding from Support4Sport.
What We Do
- Grassroots to High Performance: Supporting local member clubs and developing provincial athletes for national and international competition.
- Coach & Official Education: Providing NCCP coaching certification, clinics, and official development to ensure high standards of safety and fair play.
- Safe Sport: Committed to advancing a respectful, welcoming, and accessible sport culture across all sanctioned events and training facilities.
- Sanctioning & Events: Organizing and sanctioning provincial championships, tournaments, and development camps across the province.
